Love can come softly, like holiday snow. Or sweep you away like a riptide.
World-class surfer Krystal Walters would have appreciated the beauty of her surroundings—a quaint cottage in a fragrant Portuguese olive grove—if a wipeout hadn’t changed all her holiday plans.
Now, suffering the dizzying aftereffects of multiple concussions, she’s determined to make it home to Rhode Island for Christmas, even if she has to defy doctor’s orders. Except those orders are being enforced by Adolfo Silva. A man as arrogant as he is ruggedly handsome.
Spending every waking moment working to make the family olive farm a success, Adolfo barely has time to savor a traditional Feliz Natal. But the moment Krystal disappears under a mountain of sea water, his focus shifts to a sun-kissed spitfire with golden hair, sky-blue eyes, and a will as immovable as his own.
Keeping her safe is his first priority, but this bold, courageous woman’s wings won’t be clipped. Before they can plant the seeds of a future together, he’ll have to convince her that spending Christmas—and maybe every holiday to come—with him isn’t the end of the world. Because she’s become the center of his.
Noelle Wentworth doesn’t mind getting away from St. Augustine to fill in at her ailing aunt’s candle shop. A few weeks in Snowing Rock will help her get past the humiliating memory lapse that ruined an important piano concert—and, ultimately, her marriage to her overbearing duet partner.
She’s mentally rehearsing for her comeback performance when the bus she’s riding in slides off an icy mountain road.
And one deep, calming voice emerges from the confusion to slow her racing heart—right before his ruggedly handsome face kicks it back into allegro.
Gabe Waters is usually prepared for anything—as a professional stuntman, his life depends on it—but nothing prepared him for Noelle, the unattainable high school crush whose bravery saved him from more than just a bully’s flying fist. There’s no hint she recognizes him, but Gabe knows that face, those eyes…and he sees something that wasn’t there before. Distrust and apprehension.
Their unexpected attraction kindles something as warm and sweet as a holiday candle. But the weight of their pasts could turn the promise of love to ashes.
“I love Josie’s twists and turns that leave us hoping that the characters can overcome their fears and obstacles to see they were made for each other! This is another feel good story that I highly recommend.”
I Love You More, another charming, Hallmark story-like book about International Adoption, set in beautiful Charleston, SC.
A billionaire and a single mother have more in common than they know.
He’s a billionaire businessman …
Luciano Donati, entrepreneur and eligible bachelor, lost his first wife to cancer. So though he lives in romantic Charleston, SC, he has every intention of ignoring the upcoming holiday for lovers … at least until he sets eyes again on his younger sister’s best friend.
He remembers Anastasia as a teenager who idolized him, not this lovely, fragile woman with heartbreak in her eyes. Heartbreak that he finds himself wanting to cure. Her smile warms his soul, her touch ignites his desire, and her little girl Soo-Min melts his frozen heart. Adopted internationally himself at a young age, Luciano understands all too well the strong need to belong somewhere.
She’s a single mom …
Anastasia Markow, cancer survivor and divorced mother, didn’t come to Charleston, SC, for romance. She’s here to make sure she has custody of her adopted daughter, Soo-Min. But when she encounters the first man she ever loved, here in the city of horse-drawn carriages and candlelight, her battered heart can’t help but bloom again. And when Luciano and Soo-Min take to each other, resisting his charm becomes even harder.
Handsome, self-assured, every inch the successful billionaire, Luciano is out of Anastasia’s reach. But when a hurricane strands them together and they must trust each other to survive … things heat up despite the driving rain and gale winds.
Can Valentine’s Day bring this unlikely pair together … this time for good?
Author’s Note: Thousands of families around the world have opened their homes and hearts through international adoption. Soo-Min is the embodiment of many, many fortunate adoptive children and parents who’ve together created forever families.
“This is my first book by this author, and I am looking forward to reading more. I loved Luciano, Anatasia and Soo-Min. At first I didn’t like Eliza, especially when she wouldn’t let Anastasia talk to her daughter when she called too late (after being in a hurricane!), but later her attitude changed. There were many good things about Luciano, but my favorite was the corny jokes he told. I love a hero with a great sense of humor! Liz was something else, especially when she said she didn’t mind sharing Luciano with Anastasia.
Loved the settings of Charleston and Stowe, Vermont.”
A Snowy White Christmas, a charming, Hallmark story-like Christmas Novella, was released on October 28th, 2015 to 5 star reviews. The Novella is available in both ebook and print format.
Margaret Snow doesn’t believe in fairy tales, but as a devoted mother she’s determined to give her five-year-old daughter a Christmas filled with heart-warming memories. The once successful swimsuit model in glamorous LA returns to her small, snowy upstate New York town to buy back the foreclosed trailer she once called home. Her menagerie of rescue animals travel with her, including a deaf parrot and a kitten with one eye.
She doesn’t expect to see her former high school sweetheart, the athletic, ever-popular, and decisive Fernando Brandt, nor his dwarf twin brother.
Sparks fly when she realizes that the teenage hockey star is now a successful Realtor who is also interested in her dilapidated trailer for reasons of his own.
But can she resist the handsome, charismatic Prince Charming a second time?
And can she surrender her insecurities and accept the true gift of Christmas, finally feeling worthy of unconditional love?
Here’s what readers are saying:
“A SNOWY WHITE CHRISTMAS is sure to put you in the Christmas spirit. You can’t help but fall in love with all the characters and get caught up in their lives. I can easily see this wonderful novella becoming a Hallmark Movie. Once I started reading I could not put this heart warming story down. Josie Riviera gives you such a well-written story of Margaret and Fernando that you can’t help but feel as if they are old friends of yours as you are reading. I can not wait to read more by this wonderful author.”
“This charming novella, out just in time for the holidays, begins with a challenging if realistic situation. Margaret Snow returns with her five-year-old daughter to her hometown. As an ambitious single mom, she’s spent the period since she fled upstate New York, pregnant and poor, struggling for success in modeling and show biz in L.A. With some triumphs, but not enough, she’s handling a temporary assignment setting up Santa’s appearance in a shopping center. She doesn’t expect that old flame Fernando Brandt, now a successful realtor, will reappear in her life. Struggling to suppress her natural, strong, romantic attraction to him, as well as hide some important conditions in her life, she backs herself into a corner. In the meantime Fernando also isn’t quite forthcoming about his own status. Fortunately all is resolved happily by Christmas Eve. Author Josie Riviera taps the wintery conditions in a small town to spotlight the growing warm emotions and the personal development of the romantic duo during this family-oriented time of the year. I particularly enjoyed the exploration of less-than-physically-perfect characters and animals because they show how love can be extended to all living things. In this book, the magic of Christmas occurs with the honesty and courage of the main characters, a good reminder that we can hold our fate in our own hands.”
“What a lovely story about Christmas in the north. Very well written and full of emotion. I particularly enjoyed the characters, Margaret, Fernando, little Amelie and her menagerie of handicapped pets. I started reading and couldn’t put the book down until I finished it. A wonderful read for Christmas.”
This pot of gold could hold more than they bargained for…
Grand. Just grand. Clara Donovan’s failure to keep her brother from going off the rails—again—is a public spectacle. Including a handsome stranger who puts down his guitar case to help her talk Seamus down from Farthing’s tallest bridge.
Everything about Danny Brady reminds Clara how many times she swore she’ll never again be that pathetic, weak woman who got taken in by a good-looking man. Especially when, the next day, she walks into a new coffee shop in her little Irish town and discovers Danny’s secret.
Danny didn’t lie—technically—about his coffee shop chain. He’s just tired of women going after him for his wealth. Clara is a graceful, fiercely loyal, non-Irish Irish damsel in distress, a combination that tugs at his heart. A heart that’s spent its share of time in pieces.
Danny has never hesitated to go after what he wants, but melting Clara’s defenses will take more than hot tea and charm. He’ll have to prove he’s made of stronger stuff—even when her past threatens to tear her carefully reconstructed world to shreds.
