In my latest sweet romance, Maeve, the hero lives in London and owns a black lab. You may remember my post a couple weeks ago, and the heroine owns a pug. 🙂
As I was researching black labs, I learned that the dogs weigh between 55-80 pounds, and have a life span of 10-12 years. In Maeve, the hero, Edward, and his black lab go camping together. And…the dog rides on Edward’s motorcycle.

I love all kinds of dogs. I always thought I’d have a big dog like a lab or a German shepherd, but we ended up with a mutt who had very long legs but could fold herself up to fit into a cat bed, lol. Even though it’s been several years since she passed on, we haven’t quite managed to take the plunge to find a new fur baby but I think we’re getting closer.
I was going to comment on your pug post…they have a deadly weapon…their wet sneeze, lol.
Funny about the Pug’s wet sneeze! Such a sweet story about your mutt, and maybe now’s the time for another sweet dog to join your family?
Labs & Dobes own my heart. I bred, raised & trained labs for 20 years earlier in life. I showed them & also trained & competed in field trials. ❤️ a great story with a dog in it!
I thoroughly enjoyed Maeve.
Thank you, Pam. I loved writing Maeve. Wow, fabulous that you showed and trained Labs and Dobes.
