Happy Fourth of July weekend!
I’m in Ireland with spotty internet, but wanted to share some Dave Barry humor from his Classic collection:
“Today when the kids get tired of trying to make ice cream (allow about twenty-five seconds for this), it’s time to play some traditional July Fourth games. One of the most popular is the “sack race.” All you need is a bunch of old-fashion burlap sacks which you can obtain from the J. Peterman catalog for $227.50 apiece. Call the kids outside, have them line up on the lawn, give each one a sack to climb into and then shout, “GO!” and watch the hilarious antics begin as, one by one, the kids sneak back indoors.”
Have a wonderful holiday!
And remember it’s a Christmas in July sale! Enter to win a copy of my sweet novella, A Snowy White Christmas during the Amazon Giveaway. No purchase necessary!
Readers are saying:
“A SNOWY WHITE CHRISTMAS is sure to put you in the Christmas spirit. You can’t help but fall in love with all the characters and get caught up in their lives. I can easily see this wonderful novella becoming a Hallmark Movie. Once I started reading I could not put this heart warming story down. Josie Riviera gives you such a well-written story of Margaret and Fernando that you can’t help but feel as if they are old friends of yours as you are reading. I can not wait to read more by this wonderful author.”
And, announcing pre-orders for Seeking Patience, my inspirational novel set in Regency England, and a sale! The ebook will be released everywhere on August 2nd. Now through August 9th, it’s on sale for $2.99 (regularly $3.99).
Readers are saying:
“This Regency romance had an emphasis on Gypsy culture. I’ve never read a book about Gypsies before, and I found that aspect of the story fascinating. Another thing I enjoyed was the lovely descriptions this book contained. For instance, “The afternoon faded into streaks of orange as the sun lowered, wrapped in a scarf of amber”. There were several phrases in this book that I thought sounded like poetry.”
If you aren’t the pre-order type, no worries. I’ll send a reminder email once the book goes live. If you just can’t wait, grab it here.
Happy reading!
