It’s cold outside, but this delicious soup recipe will warm you and your family up in no time.
You’ll need:
1 can celery soup
1 can tomato soup
1 can mushroom soup
1 can green pea soup
4 cups milk
1 cup cream (I use light)
1 7 ounce can crabmeat
1 can shrimp
Mix all 4 soups together with milk and simmer. Add crabmeat and shrimp and simmer for 5 minutes. Then add cream and sherry and stir.
Serve with fresh parsley and black pepper.

Chicken dumpling soup
Sounds good, Doname. The weather is chilly here today near Charlotte, NC, and chicken and dumplings sound perfect.
That sounds delicious! Thank you for sharing!
You’re very welcome, Rachael. Thank you for stopping by.
Looks great and easy to make!
And easy is the key word, Glynis! 🙂
I have fallen in love with your stories and have added you to my auto read.
Pauline—that means SO much! Thank you!!! 🙂
I make a pot of chili on cold days. My husband can’t eat beans anymore, so I only make it when the kids are coming over.
Sounds really good, Jean. I love chili with corn bread.
This is a nice, quick soup that is easy to prepare and tastes just great:
SPINACH TORTELLINI SOUP
1 Package Frozen Spinach Drained Or 1 Package Fresh Cleaned And Chopped
1 Package Fresh Or Frozen Cheese Filled Tortellini
2 Cans Chicken Broth (College Inn)
16 Oz. Can Stewed Tomatoes (Chopped)
2 Cloves Garlic Chopped Fine
1 Tablespoon Butter
Sauté garlic in butter. Add chicken broth and tomatoes. Bring to boil, add tortellini and spinach. Simmer until tortellini is done.
Meanwhile, prepare Basil-Parmesan Topping (below).
Season soup to taste with salt and pepper. Ladle into large soup bowls, drizzle on olive oil, and generously sprinkle with a tablespoon or two of the topping. Serves 6 to 8. Top each serving with a little Parmesan cheese and serve with garlic bread and a nice tossed salad.
Basil-Parmesan Topping:
3/4 Cup Freshly Grated Imported Parmesan Cheese
1/4 Cup Finely Chopped Fresh Basil Leaves
Coarsely Ground Black Pepper To Taste
Blend Parmesan cheese, fresh basil and pepper in a small bowl. Use as garnish.
Note: I added a package of frozen meatballs, quartered, along with the broth and tomatoes.
