With Halloween upon us, today is a great day to celebrate National Candy Corn Day!
Did you know that this candy was created by George Renninger of Wunderle Candy Company in the late 1800′s? He created this sweet candy to represent the colors of corn kernels.
Originally, the candy was made by hand using corn syrup, sugar, water, marshmallows, fondant and carnauba wax (a wax made from the leaves of a palm tree). Today, it’s produced using machines, although the original ingredients are still used in the recipe.
Grab a bag and enjoy!

Are those types of candy, Alice?
For me, it’s a toss up between Mr. Goodbars and Reese’s peanut butter cups. For me, candy corn rivals peeps for the most disgusting candy.
It’s so sweet, Jean! I like anything chocolate better!
Who knew? It’s not a favorite of mine.
It’s a fun holiday, MM! 🙂
