Today is a fun post because it’s National Wife Appreciation Day! (yes, really!) This day is celebrated on the third Sunday of September.

Husbands–take note! This is the day you can show your wives how much you really appreciate all the thoughtful things she does for you!

I can think of some examples of appreciation…a bouquet of flowers, candy (chocolate is good!), a lovely dinner you make at home, or, better yet, take her to her favorite restaurant.

It is believed that Wife Appreciation Day began with the idea of celebrating married women who didn’t have children.

So, men, what are you waiting for? 🙂

Start cooking breakfast, and read up on how to give the best foot massages!

How are you celebrating National Wife Appreciation Day? I wasn’t planning on celebrating until I researched this post, which I will now show to my husband! 🙂

  1. I haven’t been a wife in over 35 years, but my Mom is the best of the best. She takes care of my beloved Daddy who has Alzheimers with only help from family even through he no longer knows who she is. I ordered Sweet Christmas Kisses 3 a while back.

    1. Millie, Sounds like you have a wonderful relationship with your Mom. She sounds like a special, caring person. And, thanks for ordering Sweet Christmas Kisses 3. You’re in for a treat!

  2. So my husband had no clue it was wife appreciation day. He has spent the last 9 days in IL going to a funeral for his cousin and visiting with 2 other cousins fighting cancer. When he came through the door, I was just happy he was home. Then he said, “Guess what I have for you/” I had no clue. He brought home Krakus Polish ham. I was doing the happy dance. You see, we can’t get Krakus Polish ham in Memphis. So the only time I get that is when go to Chicago. This was better than any flowers, chocolates or dinner.

    Already pre-ordered the Christmas set!

    1. Pam, Thanks for sharing such a beautiful, motivating story. And so thoughtful of your husband!
